Emily is the Assistant Director of International Studies at Concordia University-Portland, where also earned her M.A. degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. She works extensively with international student support, study abroad advising, and M.A. TESOL students. Before coming to Concordia University, Emily was a teaching assistant at Chemeketa Community College in their ESOL program, an English program supervisor and English instructor in South Korea for four years, and a research assistant at Florida State University in a population ecology lab. Emily received a B.S. in biology with an emphasis in evolution and ecology at Pacific University and studied abroad twice in South America. Emily also serves on the leadership committee of Northern Oregon International Educators (NORIE).
