UPDATES (2/14/14 - 2pm) Due to the inclement weather, we had to postpone the Northwest Returnee Conference originally scheduled for February 8, 2014. The new date for the conference is Saturday, April 19, 2014. If you have already registered for the conference, there is no need for you to take any actions at this point.

Welcome to the homepage of the Northwest Returnee Conference (NWRC). The sixth annual NWRC will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the Global Scholars Hall located on the University of Oregon Campus in Eugene, OR. Conference schedule and session information will be updated in the near future. To subscribe to our e-mail listserv, click here.

About the conference:

The NWRC is a professional conference for students and recent graduates who have returned from an international education experience (study abroad, international internship, service learning, etc.). The conference was founded in 2009 by leading international educators throughout Oregon who sought to provide greater support and resources for returnees. To learn more about the structure of the conference and workshops offered previously, please explore the conference schedule section of our website.

Our Mission:

The NWRC conference strives to cultivate and support the growth of global citizenship by encouraging returnees to reflect upon and understand their recently acquired international experience. The conference provides re-entry support, networking opportunities, skill building workshops, and professional development training.
It is our goal that through participation in this conference, returnees learn to identify and articulate gained skills that enrich and foster their future careers, educational endeavors, and community involvement.

Thank you,

NWRC Planning Committee
